Explore Careers There are many careers in conservation, science, and nature. Most people don't decide what path they are going to take in their lives ahead of time...but instead stumble into their careers through many different ways. Read short paragraphs written by staff and students here at Cornell that will inspire you in moving ahead -- even if your path is bumpy!

Green spaces benefit children with attention problems. Read an article in the New York Times about the benefits of nature for children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder: http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/10/17/a-dose-of-nature-for-attention-problems/ . "Doses" of time spent in green places can reduce symptoms. Changing the face of conservation
John Robinson“I’ve never met a black bird watcher before!”

Biologist, author, and birder John C. Robinson says he’s heard that a lot over the years. It got him wondering why there were so few minorities involved with birding. It’s a topic he explores in his new book Birding for Everyone, Encouraging People of Color to Become Birdwatchers. Watch our video to learn more about how Robinson got hooked on science and bird watching. View video here.
